About us

Multicast is a startup from Vitória/ES, Brazil, focused on the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Machine Learning and Computer Vision intelligence solutions. With extensive knowledge and pioneering research in the IoT field, such as wireless sensor networks, context and situation sensitivity, we are prepared to offer robust tools and specialized support for the intelligent decision making for businesses characterized by data-intensiveness.

From data collected from our devices (Multicast Mote or any other devices), through any kind of connectivity, our SenseUp digital platform allows comprehensive data analysis, management and reasoning, enabling companies and industries to create new solutions, revenue streams and improve the quality of their processes and systems integrations.

In a short time, when we started working with disruptive technologies from 2013, we have achieved significant results in the development of research and innovative solutions for Industry 4.0 with our innovative business model.

Multicast exists to help realize Weiser’s (Weiser, 1999) vision of a world full of small intelligent objects with the aim of improving people’s lives through making them more aware of events surrounding them, offering specialized products and services to allow anyone to create and operate their own IoT solution and connectivity between devices and systems.

We believe that specialized IoT solutions can help improve controls, minimizing risks to people’s lives and helping to preserve the environment.

2021

We finished the development of the challenge proposed by Vale S.A. in the Findeslab industrial entrepreneurship Open Innovation Contest Call 2019 with the delivery of the SenseUp Enterprise Hub, our Lowcode platform for data processing, analysis and integration to facilitates and streamlining automation and data integration for the Industry 4.0 real-time needs. The Hub manages the complexity of the integration between systems and technologies in a fast, simple and efficient way, allow for the adoption of an architecture prepared for the future and unlocking the innovation of its operations, saving time and resources spent on repetitive system integration actions.

2020

Approved in the Open Innovation Contest “Edital FAPES Nº 03/2020 – AÇÕES PARA ENFRENTAMENTO DA COVID-19 ” to develop the SenseHuman, a low cost solution to detect Human body temperature. Results available here. We were also approved in the Open Innovation Contest “2020 Findeslab industrial entrepreneurship” to develop a challenge for Unimed. Results available here and the Pitch Deck of SmartScreening is available here.

2019

Publication of the results of the LAURA project in the Journal of Systems and Software by Elsevier of great impact and academic relevance .This contains the scientific bases and empirical experiments based on concepts, technologies and methods that are the basis of our Novel Multipurpose Open architecture platform and business model. We also approved in the Open Innovation Contest “2019 Findeslab industrial entrepreneurship” to develop a challenge for Vale S.A. Results available here.

2018

Completion of our MVP of Multicast SenseUp SAAS platform to monitor medical products.

2016

Start of LAURA Architecture project. Academic project idealized by Sergio that brings together researchers who participated in the development of LAURA, a flexible, service-oriented, and general open-source conceptual architecture, designed to support the deployment of decoupled IoT applications.

2015

Completion of the first version of our Mote

2014

Development of research and experiments with Wireless Sensor Networks in LPRM.

2013

Best paper in IEEE International Multi-Disciplinary Conference on Cognitive Methods in Situation Awareness and Decision Support (CogSIMA), 2013, San Diego, USA with the work “A Rule Based Platform for Situation Management” available here. This is the result of Isaac’s research that created the basis for the development of situation-awareness framework SCENE.
